After 5yrs, 7mths & 17days...

17July2009 - marks the end of my career with PwC... my 1st job since i graduated from NTU...

1Dec2003 i've joined PwC as an external auditor... mid-2006 my 3rd yr in external audit, i requested for secondment and subsequently transferred to the internal audit department...

after 5yrs+ in a public accounting firm, i think it's time that i move on... to the commercial world... thus i started out my search for an IA position in a MNC with travelling frequency of less than 50%... and then i found it... offered and accepted...

though i left a familiar work place with many peers and colleagues doing the same thing for a entirely new environment with only 3 other internal auditors... im glad that i've made this step and hope that my new company and new colleagues will be great and wishing myself best wished and best of luck in my future endeavours... :p

pics of my farewell with meals, fun, laughter, hugz & kisses taken over my 2 weeks of serving notice...

home cooked

suddenly wanted to cook so went NTUC bought some ingredient and wipped up 4 dishes to go with porridge...

the 4 dishes with porridge...

the 4 dishes upclose...
dish top left: celery with mushroom... added too much water.. mushroom became soggy.. will keep in mind and change to steaming next time :)
dish top right: minced pork with egg... easiest n nicest dish.. :D
dish bottom left: tau pok ball will fillings... took the most time and effort, in the end lazy to complete by fastening tau pok with toothpick so fillings all dropped out.. to improve next time :)
dish bottom right: stir-fry potato strips... got the idea from china's meals... not difficult :)
porridge: my porridge always turned out like soft rice :p

1st year Anniversary V(^.^)v 02012009

time flies!!! our 1st year wedding anniversary came n past... so fast and we are married for a year!! \(^0^)/
we got a anniversary room stay back ar merchant court but as we can't use the voucher on 2Jan itself as it was the "festive season" (as explained by the hotel reservations staff) so we booked the room on 3Jan instead :)

5-star hotel 就是 5-star hotel... the room, the bathroom, the furniture, the fittings, the tv, the coffee n tea, the slippers, etc... all are good stuffs! hahaha not like those hotels i stayed when i go overseas jobs (clients want to save cost lah), not like those hotels we book (budget budget) when we go short trips to thailand, phuket, malacca...

we went facial in the morn then check in at 2pm.. wanted to go swimming but when we reach the pool, there were lots of kids playing in the pool n all the benches are taken up by the angmohs who are all suntanning... so we went out for late lunch/early dinner instead.

cross over to Central for food... we decided to have Jap so ended up at Waraku Japanese Casual Cuisine restaurant (not the pasta one)... 1st time we tried this jap restaurant... higher class restaurant 就是 higher class.. the food taste nicer n fresher and the wasabi is so cute! cost is reasonable as the restaurant has promotion for that timing due to less crowd so we only spent < $30 in total :p then we walked around n went to eat hokkiado ice cream :p went back to hotel to laze around, watch movies on star-movie channel then is night time already...wanted to try food at clark quay so we finally went out at 10pm... clark quay is still bustling with lots of people! mainly clubbing n pubbing people... in the end we ended up at coffee club since it's not a club/pub n it still serves dinner and it opens till 4am :p

order smoked salmon caesar salad.. quite tasty but the smoked salmon is salty n the basket is made of cheese so even salty... hubby ordered a new on menu item - pork ribs, quite nice too but we feel that the meat can be cooked longer hahaha :p this meal's cost is almost double our lunch cost... n cos we charge our bill of min. $30 to visa, we get a free cake!

next morning we went for a swim, ate up the free food in the room n the cake n check out at 2pm. then we had subway for lunch before we head to our massage appointment. :D
