N i got to watch harry porter... htb's sis' company welfare, every employee can purchase max. of 4 tix at $3 each, comes with free popcorn n soft drink... woOw!! hehehe ;p

after movie, me n htb went to bridal shop to choose my gowns.. xianz n mama came along to give suggestions... apparently, the OTR choices were limited... limited to numbers, limited to designs, limited to sizes... for the wedding gown, didnt really find 1 tt i really really really like altho got kiv 2 for last resort... luckily, evening gown i did find somethg tt i like, the females like, only htb prefer my choice no. 2... but i still kiv both... choosing gowns is tiring... change up n down, can-can in n out, when sizes r slightly smaller need to suck in to zip up... mayb im actively doing somethg, so i dun feel tt time passes so quickly... but for the poor htb sitting there n waiting... is even more tiring then me :p n *blinkblink* 4hrs past... :p

after all the try-outs, we had some negotiation with the bridal shop pple cos i rem tt the mgr who 'coaxed' us into signing the package said tt i can choose gowns at the sister-shop if i cant find anythg nice here, but this was not writen black n white in the contract... haiz.. mayb i overlook tt but i insisted.. finally, still need to compromise.. i can go to the sister-shop to choose, n if i really decide on getting the gowns frm there, my contract will be transferred over n i have to top-up $200... in any case, i will jus go n see if i find anythg tt i like... if so, probably i will get the current shop to mtm for me since my package include 1 mtm mah... right? ;)

after our yummy lunch yesterday, me n htb went jln besar to buy kitchen sink and meet up with IDs.. we wanted to reselect our tiles for the bathrooms n kitchen, so the IDs brought us bac to the tile shop to see again... saw this cute black n white pigs tile but cost $10/sqf.. so ex!! after tt we went to their new office in Eunos to finalise the quotation n construction drawings.. i think we spent 3hrs discussing the quotation, choosing colors n materials, etc... in the end the bottomline is still off our budget, but ok lah, we accept it loh...
went home n show to mama n papa... n blahblahblah... the comments n 'criticisms' start rolling in... papa: the electrical work too ex. looping is very simple n charge $xx is not reasonable.. mama: y green? green not 大方 , shld use other colors............................. sighz... so wat shld i do now?????????? :(

yesterday afternoon me n htb n 3 other gfs went for bufft lunch at Melt - The World's Cafe @ the Oriental Hotel.. had a 'free' meal there few months bac when me n yunie went for the bridal show... the variety then was fantastic, esp the desserts section.. yummy.. so since we r getting a treat from Ms AQ, me n frens decided to try it out... disappointed... the desserts section was not as fantastic as the bridal show day... but at least the other foods were quite nice... the service was very good.. the price was very 'good' too... anyway, since it's a treat, we all had a yummy n satisfied lunch hahaha :p too happy eating, we forgotten to take a pic inside the restaurant.. so onli took 2 at the hotel lobby with the glutton loOks... pic will come in later cos not received yet :p

nex wed got company event - free movie to watch Harry Porter at Vivo... but i rem i got pilates class... so how? which should i choose? so let's do a cost-benefits analysis:

1) If i choose Harry...

gOOd:

- fun

- entertainment

- relaxing

- wont waste free tix given by company

bAd:

- lost $10 becos pilates cost $10/lesson

- no exercise, jus sit n watch n eat popcorn

- cant slim down

any cOmpensAting??: Yes

- can watch Harry on another day and movie tix for weekend cost $8.36 at cathay ($9.50 less 12% discount if use UOB card at cathay) or $8.50 at GV ($9.50 less $1 discount if use HSBC at GV) or free if exchange UNI points for tix :p

2) If i choose Pilates...

gOOd:

- exercise

- healthy

- can slim down

- wont waste $10 lesson

bAd:

- missed free movie

- cant watch with gang

any cOmpensating??: No

- no pilates makeup class

cOnclUsiOn: choose to go pilates becos movie tix of max. $9.50 is still cheaper than pilates per lesson cost of $10; and can exercise n slim down :p

our company year end is Jun, so this is the time when everybody will be guessing how much our next increment will be and wat's the bonus... cos during the year I was on secondment to IA together with my 4 other "sisters"... but during the year we were re-seconded back to EA to help out for more than 2 months at different intervals... in the end we didnt have as much exposure and jobs in IA... we were promised a decision of whether we are able to perm transfer b4 year end but they gave excuses that becos we didnt got the opportunity to be involved in more jobs so our secondment will be extended so as to better assess our performance... crap lah... when they were trying to coax us to go back EA to help out, they promise us stars n moons and even say our appraisals in EA will be considered... now they come to say such craps... and we become 'floating' employees not belonging to anywhere... worse of all, they penalise our bonus... all becos we r secondees, we r not able to get even the lowest bonus range tt our peers get in EA and even IA... sighz... too bad... we r jus secondees belonging to no department... sucky...
